Rev Pastor Badu Kobi of Glorious Wave Chapel International has donated a luxurious vehicle to the office of the National Chief Imam of Ghana. The vehicle, a Mercedes Benz V8 engine, was offered as a birthday gift to the Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Prof. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu. The pastor commended the Imam on his humility and called him his father. “I sometimes wish I am a Muslim like you because your lifestyle inspires me,” he said during the presentation of the V8 engine.

This is but the latest in a string of congratulatory gestures shown the Eminent Scholar. Having being honoured by the Greater Accra Regional Ga-Dangme Muslim Council Hierarchy on the occasion of his 100th birthday, the Chief Imam strengthened inter-faith dialogue by visiting the Christ the King Church. The gesture of the Muslim scholar led to numerous praises and reminded the world of how strong the relationship between Muslims and Christians are in the country.

It can be recalled also that the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia gifted the Imam a brand new, custom-plated Toyota in April of 2018. While speaking in a ‘Point Blank” interview with Citi FM’s Umaru Sanda, the Chief Imam noted that though he received no salary, he had managed to establish over half a dozen schools in Fadama and other areas.

The Chief Imam had paid a courtesy call on the Reverend on April 1, 2019 where they had a chat on inter-faith dialogue.
